Juice concentrateJuice concentrate is gained by extracting the water content from fruit juice by methods such as evaporating or freezing. The Brix (Bx) content of the concentrates varies from 40 to 65 Bx, depending on the quality to be extracted. It can be packed aseptically in drums or cartons. A very common and safe form of packing is also non-aseptic Flubox containers (1.000 liter each) or even tank-trucks. The product can be used in the beverage industry for juices, fruit juice beverages, nectars, ice tea, as fruit additive in alcoholic drinks; in the confectionery and baking industry for sweets, fruit jellies, chewing sweets, fillings; in the dairy and ice cream industry for fruit preparations, icings, and desserts.
